Often considered the residential and retail hub of Sudbury, the New Sudbury community is conveniently tucked away in the north east part of the city. The community boasts over 20 parks, splash pads, and playgrounds, and plays home to both the Junction Creek and Rotary Park trails as a part of the Rainbow Routes system. New Sudbury also offers plenty of schooling options, with quality English, French, French Immersion and Catholic schools from preschool to high school. It also contains two post secondary schools in College Boreal and Cambrian College, making it a great place to live for students.
From a retail perspective, New Sudbury offers every amenity needed with its wonderful mix of amazing restaurants, specialty and commercial grocery stores, and proximity to all major shopping areas. Add in the newly completed Maley Drive extension, several kilometres of designated bike paths, and abundant public transit options and commuting from New Sudbury to any part of our city is a breeze.
While the majority of homes in this area were built in the 1980s and 1990s, many have been significantly renovated. With it’s ideal location, there has always been a strong demand for New Sudbury, and it is almost always used as one of the benchmark communities to determine the state of the current real estate market.
